GEORGE VLiORAS FOR COUNCIL

George Vlioras is a first generation American who grew up working in the pizza shop of his immigrant parents who both showed him and instilled him the values of hard work and commitment to improving yourself through education.

George worked his way through Widener University earning a degree in Accounting & Finance while also walking on to the football team. After graduating Widener and entering the professional world, George went on to earn a Master's in Business Administration from Villanova University as well as numerous certifications in his field.

Today, George is the Global Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Willis Towers Watson, but he has worked at numerous public and private firms engaging in a broad spectrum of activities including accounting, auditing, mergers /acquisitions, consulting and global financial planning and forecasting.  Along with his core competencies, George is well-known for his strong work ethic and unique ability to to forge collaborations and communications between differing groups.  Taken together, these are all skills that will make him a strong member of Borough Council able to deliver positive results for local residents. 

George and his wife, Myka, chose to make Collegeville their home nearly 20 years ago because they loved its family-friendly, small town atmosphere. Since then, they have grown their family to include a daughter and son, as well as two loved pets. Deeply committed to giving back to our community, George has volunteered as a youth sports coach with local soccer, basketball and football teams.
